What Is The Ideal Dosage Of Paracetamol For Recurrent Flu Symptoms?

I currently have the flu and I was just wondering with paracetamol how many days can I take it for? As soon as I stop taking all the symptoms of the flu come back and I am currently on the third day of the flu. I have been keep tabs on how much I take and I always make sure its every 6 hours and I am having this the records here:
(500mg per tablet)
Sunday 13th of September
2x @2am
2x @8am
2x @3pm
2x @9pm
Monday 14th of September
2x @1am
2x @7:30am
2x @1:30pm
2x @9pm
My question is it ok to take it every day until I feel better because without it the flu is quite unbearable but I feel its getting slightly better. Also is it ok to have cold and flu medicine like Codral and Demazin with Paracetamol? I am also going to see my local gp today.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
Ideally, I would suggest that you restrict the intake of paracetamol.
Do take it only if you need it.
Don't take it 6 hourly.
However, I should also tell you that it is safe to take it up to 4 times a day.
And yes, you can take other medicines.
I will suggest following steps -
1. warm saline gargles 4 times a day
2. steam inhalation 4 times a day
3. plenty of fluids and rest
4. multivitamins course once a day
The idea of these steps is to try to make the symptoms less severe so that the medicines can be reduced.
I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
