Brief Answer:
1 capsule twice or three times daily.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

This drug is prescribed to be taken 1capsule twice or thrice a day. Please, follow up and make sure you are treated fully for this hepatitis B. Were you advised to see a hepatologist/gastro-enterolgist? Did you also do a viral load count?

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
My best advise...Get them vaccinated!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Vaccinating them is the best thing to do at this time. It prevents them from infection now and for the rest of their lives. Please, I strongly encourage this.

Hepatitis B is transmitted in the same way as HIV. Body fluids and blood and so take precaution on this. Also, it would be nice to talk to your wife(sexual partner) because they are equally at risk and testing would be necessary.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.

Brief Answer:
No...Hepatits B is NOT HIV!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

HIV I not hepatitis. I just said the way the infections are transmitted from one person to the other are very similar but you should not think they are talking about the same disease condition.

Great on getting the children vaccinated. It needs 3 injections within a month for full coverage.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.

Thanks a lot for your prompt and beneficial assistance and professional guide. We appreciate you greatly. But again, is this a treatable infections because it appears that it is not from all the literatures l have gone through but I will need your professional insight please to get one reassured. As at October , 2014 l had a full Bloodwork done in Germany and it was flawless. But l had haircut without my clippers and l am suspecting it must have been where this unfortunate issues creep in. Please l need your insight. Thanks a lot whole lot Dr.

Brief Answer:
I am oncerned about your diagnosis and treatment!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

We treat chronic hepatitis B(more than 6months) and not acute hepatitis B. Within 6months, 9/10 persons with hepatitis B would be able to get out of it without treatment. If this fails to happen by the sixth month, then we consider getting the client treated. If your results in Germany were flawless in October, then I guess this is an acute infection and treating now is not according to recommendations. The practice guideline may be different in Nigeria, ask your doctor about this.

I wish you well. Always at your disposal for more information and assistance if need be.

Brief Answer:
I think he was too quick to start treatment..talk with him!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed these results. It may be true that you are HBsAg positive but the duration of illness is not enough to have warranted initiation of treatment. But them, the guidelines in Nigeria may be different and that is why I will like you to ask him in a friendly manner that you read somewhere that treatment is reserved for chronic carriers an you think you might not have reached that stage, is it of any concern to him. By this you would get him to review the guidelines and probably reconsider his decision.

I am sending a link to a trusted site with simple information for patients. read it, master care and lifetime modifications and get back to me if you have questions and need more clarifications.

I wish you well and look forward hearing from you.
