Question: My pregnancy test was found positive today and my TSH is 5.36. Is that fine?

Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.

TSH of 5.36 is just above normal levels.
However , it is recommended that TSH levels are maintained below 2.5 mU/l in the first trimester of pregnancy and below 3 mU/l in later pregnancy.

So, i recommend you to repeat your thyroid profile tomorrow morning - fasting levels.
Thyroid profile includes free T3, free T4, TSH.

If TSH levels persists or higher than 5 mU/l, medications(thyroxin) need to be taken.
Thyroxin is completely safe. You need not worry.
