What Is The Remedy For Pus Due To Inserted Implanon?
Question: my wife just had the implanon implanted and she has pus in it, no clinics are open, can we do anything to help?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
How long ago was that implant inserted?
If you can see a XXXXXXX pus coming out from the site of implant it means the implant has got infected and needs to be removed.
You will have to attend an ER to get the implant removed as soon as possible along with the anti biotic coverage to avoid spreading of the infection.
Infected implant must be removed at the earliest to control the infection.
I hope my answer and recommendations are adequate and helpful. Waiting for your further follow up queries if any.
Wish her a speedy recovery.
Regards.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Once the implant is removed , a fresh one can be inserted at a different side.
The removed implant cannot be used again.
Your wife can use oral pills if she is not lactating. These are highly effective with lesser side effects.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Wishing you a trouble free speedy recovery.
