hi, i have been on the implanon for the past three months and until a month ago had experienced no bleeding i have now being having a brown mucus wich is unlike discharge i have had before i have it constantly for the past month , also for the past five months or so i have been experiencing sharp pains in my lower left abdoman it used to come and go but in the past few days has became significantly more frequent and painfull any adive you could give me would be very much appreciated

Hi,
Implanon has inbuilt long acting hormone progesterone. Progesterone does show irregular spotting, menstruation off and on. You seem to have same side effect. This usually lessens after few months. Please don't worry. You need to follow good genital hygiene these days in order to avoid infection.
