What Is The Small Red Painless Spot On Penis?
Around 2 months ago a small red spot showed up in my penis, then 2 weeks later a second red spot showed up.
- There is no pain
- No discharge
- No sensitivity
I had un-protected sex like 3 months ago.
Thanks,
Could be due to infection of Glans Penis (Ballanitis)
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts and photographs that you have posted it appears that you have developed red spots on glans penis following unprotected sex .
This is mostly due to infection of glans penis secondary to allergic reaction to vaginal secretions of a woman you had a sex with .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem .
1) Is the woman whom you had sex with is known to you and do you know about her STD status?
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefotaxime twice daily and topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin for local application.
Considering the fact that it was unprotected sex if the woman is unknown to you the possibility of acquiring STD can not be ruled out ,Hence I would suggest you to get basic screening tests for STD and HIV done.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
Dr.Patil.
Thanks for your quick reply!
1) I have no information about her STD status and unfortunately I have no means to know it, since I have no way to contact her.
2) 2 weeks ago I had Amigdalitis and took Cephalexin for 7 days
3) I think I'm able to get Neosporin in the pharmacy but not sure about Cefotaxime as it will required prescription. Is it possible to get a similar medication or doctors note to get Cefotaxime?
4) I have booked a full STD test for next week, hope to get the results soon.
I appreciate your answers.
Cheers,
XXXX
