Brief Answer:
Most of gall stones are asymptomatic

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing..
I understand your concern..

Most of the gall stones are asymptomatic.. Pain in the left upper quandrant of the abdomen is the classic feature of gall stone. Pain increases after having fatty food.. Pain in the shoulder and back of the shoulder can also be due to gall stones.. Rest of symptoms are nonspecific like bloating sensation, heaviness, change in colour of stool etc..

To diagnose gall stone, a ultrasound of abdomen is done which will show stone in the gall bladder.. CT and x ray abdomen also picks up gall bladder stones.. Liver function test is done.. If LFT is elevated, it may be due to gall stones but it is not specific for gall stones..

Hope I have answered your query.. Feel free to ask any doubts.. Good day..
