What Is The Turnover Rate Of Chondrocytes In Cartilage?

Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I have read your query.
Cartilage growth starts from birth and continue till age of 18 to 20 yrs. cartilage growth consists mostly of the maturing of immature cartilage to a more mature state. Once adult growth is complete cartilage growth stops only minor repair and wear and tear process continues. Cartilage has limited repair capabilities
So your cartilage at 14 may have developed more and it’s present in your body now and for ever.

I had anabolic steroid treatment when I was 14 to boost height. Now I regret because I feel the steroid caused growth of cartilage that is non renewable. This would mean the steroid has had a permanent impact because it grew something in my body that doesn't renew or get replaced . What would be your valued advise?
Thanks and Regards

Regarding the cartilage thats present at age 14. As growth continues up to 18-20 years, has this 'old' cartilage been replaced by 18 years old?
It is not replaced by new at 18.
