What Makes Food Taste Like Soap Or Cardboard?
It could be secondary to sinusitis or some medicines
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The taste we get, comes not only from the tongue. It also involves our nose and the sense of smell. Taste actually comprises of multiple senses. The consistency of the food, the particulate nature, the reactivity with taste buds, the temperature, the smell, all play a part. So, when you complain or poor taste, the commonest thing possible is that somehow your sense of smell is not up to the mark. It frequently occurs in case of certain viral infections or conditions like sinusitis. I would suggest you to take steam inhalation twice or thrice a day. It will help in diluting the mucus and would free up your sense of smell.
The other possibility is that your alteration of the sense of smell could be due to secondary to intake of certain medicines. I would like to know if you need to take some medicine on short or long term for some reason?

Cozaar seems to be the cause of your bad taste
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Sorry for not being able to write back earlier.
Let me remark that Cozaar (losartan) is well known for causing poor taste. So, there is reasonable probability that this medicine is responsible for the problem that you are facing. In such a case, talk to your doctor about an alternative medicine. I hope that would resolve your problem.
Hope that helps.
