What Needs To Be Done At Accidental Ingestion Of Ibuprofen By A Toddler?
Question: hi, my 8 months toddler took ibuprofen table 400 mg, what shall i do now, i am woried
Brief Answer:
feed her
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
She will probably be fine but if you can get some food in her stomach to buffer the ibuprofen it would be a very good idea. The normal dose for that age is 100mg so this is not a tremendously high dose. Watch her for stomach upset and make sure she is eating and drinking to reduce the effects on the stomach. Remember to keep all medications out of reach of toddlers.
