Brief Answer:
COAGULOPATHY

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX
Sorry to note that your question has gone unanswered. I don't know for what problem you are taking warfarin. For coagulopathic conditions we maintain INR at 2.5 to 3. nothing wrong will happen if it has gone up to 5 but level of 8 is a signal for caution.. Since you have not been taking it for some time you should check your INR again and start warfarin if it has fallen to the required level. Do not take it unless you have checked INR. Nothing wrong will happen if you hold the drug for some time because you are taking it for prophylaxis only.

thank you for your response. I will not take any Coumadin today and I will check with the nurse tomorrow. I think I am doing the right thing I think she would also tell me not to take any Coumadin today and check it tomorrow. does that sound right to you

also is it ok if I take my Tylenol for my arthritis?

Brief Answer:
coagulopathy

Detailed Answer:
Dear,

It is alright if you do not take the pill till count is checked. But make sure you don't go without pills for long time.

There is no harm if you continue to take tylenol for arthritis.
