What Should Be Done For Egg Shaped Vibrator Stuck In Rectum?
It needs to be removed at a hospital after taking a X ray.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. I have come across few people with the problem that you have and it is best treated under medical guidance. Allowing it to stay inside the rectum for a longer time might cause severe rectal spasm and injury to rectal wall that can be prevented by seeking medical attention on time. Please visit your nearest ER and get it removed in a painless way.
2. At first a X ray of your lower abdomen is required to know the exact location of the object. Without doing the X ray it will be difficult to assess if the object is low lying of high placed. Techniques for removal differ based on the location of the foreign body in the rectum.
3. Depending on its location, the vibrator can be manipulated out of the body slowly and in a painless way. You will be provided sedation and pain relief at the time of removal.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. There is a little chance of it being expelled with morning constitutional but there can arise a situation where it is hurting the rectal wall and needs urgent removal.
2. If you have pain, bleeding or fever then it is an emergency situation. In such cases immediate removal is required after knowing the proper location following a X ray.
3. Since it is late night and morning is just a few hours away, you can try one last attempt to pass it in stools early in the morning as long you are not feeling sick. If it does not come out by say 5 am or 6 am then please visit the ER immediately.
4. Please note that if you are having pain, bleeding, fever or feeling uncomfortable then please visit your nearest ER right now.
Hope your query is answered.
