Brief Answer:
Not a serious condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for posting your query here at HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

First, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX had a skiing accident.

About your concerns, symptoms after head injury to be considered seriously include loss of consciousness, feeling nauseous or vomiting, difficulty interacting with others, any limbs weakness, speech dysfunction.

Another thing to consider about head injuries is previous health condition such use of blood thinners eg.

In those cases, you should be more alert about your symptoms.

I assume you didn't experienced any of those mentioned above and almost six hours passed, so, in my opinion, you have nothing to worry about.

Just take it easy. If you or people around you notice any of above mentioned symptoms ( I think you will not ), get medical evaluation.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Observation time from 4 to 6 hours.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

The observation period about mild head injury is between 4 to 6 hours in a medical facility.

After that a period of 24 hours is advisable only to be more prone ( alert ) of any symptoms.

You "passed" the risk period, so don't worry about.

Best regards.
