What Will Be The Effect Of Accidental Ingestion Of Piece Of Plastic Fork?
Question: I was using a plastic fork and tnk I swallowed one if the tines that apparently broke off while I was using it. I didn't feel it when I swallowed though. I have no pain but a little heartburn. I'm just got off work and have to go back in 8 hours. I'm sending a picture of the fork. please help I don't know what to do. I don't have the money to go to the E.R but ofcourse will if I'm going to die:(.

it won't rip or tear my intestines or anything. i am including a picture. I don't know how I didn't feel that, you see how long it is...almost an inch. thank you for your time and I promise not to bother you. <3

yes it is possible that while eating you take something like this and still remain unaware till it has passed by the oral phase of swallowing. I did see the picture and correlated it in my previous reply. I did come across a few patients at my clinic with similar complaint including one child of 10 yrs age. All of them were fine on follow-up visit after 10 days. So you will also do fine God willing.
