Hi

Thanks for the query

The following are the treatment modalities for allergic rhintis:

1. Steroid nasal spray (such as fluticasone or momentasone) - to reduce the allergic component in the nose, such as sneezing, running nose and nasal block.
2. Saline nasal spray - to keep the nasal mucosa moist.
3. Antihistaminic (such as fexofenadine or cetrizine) - to reduce systemic allergy
4. Oral steroids - only if the condition is not responding to the local measures.
5. Mast cell stabilizers such as (Ketotifen, sodium chromoglycate) - For the prophyxasis

Apart from this, you need to follow the preventive measure such as:

1. Avoiding those food and beverages which induce allergy
2. Do not sleep under the fan or in front of the Air conditioner
3. Avoid using strong perfumes and face powder
4. When exposed to dust or smoke cover the nose with a clean handkerchief
5. To change the pillow cover every night before going to bed

Remember! There is no cure for allergy, only the preventive measures can get rid of you from allergy.

Hope I have answered your query; I will be available for the follow-up queries.
