Brief Answer:
Bifilac contains beneficial bacteria.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
Assuming that you have been prescribed Bifilac not Biglac.
Biglac (lactulose) is a laxative used to treat constipation.
Bifilac is used primarily to treat and prevent diarrhea.
Bifilac capsule contains beneficial bacteria that help break down your food to absorb nutrients better, thus preventing indigestion, flatulence, and bloating sensation.
Hope this answers your query.
However I shall be glad to answer if you have follow up query.

Brief Answer:
Bifilac is advised if you have diarhea as a main problem.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Vishaal, Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I can understand your situation and the problem faced by you.
1. Had you been my patient I would not have advised you to take Ursomax 300.
Because it contains Ursodeoxycholic acid which is mainly found to be effective in the prevention and treatment of gall stones and it is known to cause abdominal discomfort, pain, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, and vomiting thus aggravating the symptoms of IBS.
2. Bifilac which contains both probiotics and prebiotics is helpful if there is diarrhea.
3. Degeplex-T contains Pancreatin-a digestive enzyme helpful in reducing the indigestion and thus can be continued.
4. Normaxin is a combination of an antispasmodic (Clinidium) and an anxiolytic (Chlordiazepoxide) found to be useful in the treatment of IBS.
Hope to have clarified your concerns regarding the safety & efficacy of the prescribed medications.
Best regards.
