Why Does A Child Resist Bottle Feeding?

Question: Is there any reason why my daughter resist bottle feeding? Can you tell ne how to make her drink from the bottle. Is the nipple reason for that?
Brief Answer:
avoid bottle try paladai or spoon
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Thanks for writing to us.
Bottle feeding is ideally not good for babies at this age.
The reasons include chances of infection even if you clean it well, and possibility of baby losing interest in breast feeding.
It is better to try paladai or spoon feeding for whatever amount of formula she needs.
As your baby is 5 months you can start weaning her off foods like boiled cereals, vegetables and apple. Cerelac or Farex can also be started next month.
Don't stop breastfeeding at any cost.
If nothing works and you are forced to use bottle try nipple with small size.
Wishing your child good health.
Regards,
Dr Arun
