Brief Answer:
Indications of Meprate

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for question.

Meprate is Medroxyprogesterone, a synthetic progesterone, more powerful that natural progesterone. These high dose progestine slow the frequency of release of gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus and blunt the pre-ovulatory LH surge. It means they control the follicle development and ovulation dynamics.

Meprate is a brand name of a generic drug called Medroxyprogesterone acetate. It is generally indicated in Endometriosis, Contraception, Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding and also certain cancers. This generic drug is mainly given to prevent uterus cancer in women who are taking oestrogen drugs as the risk is high with hyperplastic endometrium.

I would be able to address your worry more specifically if you can tell me what happened with Meprate tablet.
Were you prescribed it?
are you pregnant?
Do you have delayed periods?

Please tell me your exact doubt.

Brief Answer:
Take Meprate as advised by doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As your doctor prescribed we routinely prescribe Meprate for missed periods after checking if a woman is pregnant or not? Once the Urine pregnancy test is negative Meprate can be safely prescribed for 5 days twice daily dose. Once you stop the medicine after 5 days the periods should start in two dose after stopping.

Hope this is clear. Please close our discussion and rate it if you do not have any more queries.
