Brief Answer:
Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern.

Injection proluton is a synthetic progesterone used during pregnancy to sustain pregnancy and prevent habitual abortion and premature labor because it causes relaxation of the uterus.

Stye is a staphylococcus infection in an eye, it may not be due to proluton injection.
Warm fomentation may be helpful and maintain eye hygiene.
it may resolve in few weeks spontaneously if persist than you can consult your treating doctor for the same.

Why this injection prescribed to you?
Are you having any history of previous miscarriage?

Please revert back to me with my answer.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.

I have fibroid of 5.1 * 4.7 cm. I am not sure why this has been prescribed by doctor and this is first time I got pregnant. The injection I have to take till 36 week as per doctor.
Also I have to travel during my 30 week to my home-town which via train is around 32 hour journey. But I will be taking break in between for 1 day after competing 17 hour of travel.
I have consulted doctor but she said due to fibroid she can't give go ahead of travel. Could you kindly let help if I can travel or not. I can consider flight option as well if it is safe.
as all my relatives are at hometown that's why I have to travel for better and timely care.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Your doctor opinion may be right.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the long delay in my response.

In my opinion travelling is not very safe in your case.

If you want to go to your hometown you should travel by train and plan your travelling during the second trimester (because it is a much safer period).

During travelling you should follow the advices given by your physician.

Flight after second trimester is not safe.
At high altitude there is low oxygen pressure so supply of oxygen to the baby is low which is harmful.
There is a possibility of cosmic radiation as well.

As such fibroid with pregnancy will not affect pregnancy, but sometimes it may have prolonged labor and bleeding (cause delayed uterine contraction) and sometimes a complication like red degeneration occurs between 12-24 weeks of pregnancy.

So please take permission with your doctor before travelling.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.

Dr.Richa

Thanks Doctor.
As I will be travelling via train in 2nd AC and will take 1 day rest in between. could you let know what precautions should I take.
Also does the fibroid give some issues as before my doctor said it is very common during pregnancy to have fibroid and it is not harmful as it is relatively far from baby.
Will it help if I share the reports with you? It's more of concern as before my doctor said it's ok and now she is saying because of fibroid you can't travel.

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Travelling is usually not advisable.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again
As in our previous discussion I also said that travelling is not very safe in her case but if you want to go then please follow these precaution -
-Do not eat and drink outside food.
-Take lower birth for journey
-Do not stress or over exert
-Take your prescribed injection and medicine on time and uterine relaxant drug during journey.
-Take rest in left lateral position
-During reservation inform pregnancy to railways authorities so in emergency you will get help.

Yes, you can share your report with me. You can upload reports on right side of your dashboard.

As such fibroid will not affect pregnancy but sometimes complication occurs. (As we discussed before)

Hope it is useful.
Good luck

Brief Answer:
Your reports seem to be normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sailesh,

I have gone through your reports and it seems to be normal except you are having an intramural posterior fibroid.

Your baby is in breech presentation which may change with advancement of pregnancy.

My opinion is same as we discuss before.

Hope it is useful.
Good luck
