Why Is Utrogestan Advised During Pregnancy?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Mar 2017
Question: I recently found out I am pregnant 10 weeks and started seeing the doctor who prescribed utrogestan 100mg to be used twice a day. Is that normal as I do not have a history of miscarriage and didn't need help getting pregnant.

Brief Answer:
Uterogestan strengthens and protects your pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your question carefully and understand your concern.

Uterogestan is a pill that contain progesterone, it helps to protect and strengthen pregnancy, and it is produced at increased levels during pregnancy.

If your doctor have prescribed Uterogestan, s/he must have had a reason behind this.
Hence, do take it as prescribed by your doctor and be calm because Uterogestan doesn't harm your pregnancy.

Hope I was helpful, feel free for further discussion.

Best Regards
