Having pain in the back on swallowing can be due to acid peptic disease or reflux oesophagitis. Another cause is muscle sprain in the back which causes tensing up of muscles on every movement including swallowing.
Hiatus hernia and cervical spondylosis also need to be ruled out after proper examination by your physician.
