Will Alcohol Consumption Effect My Chlamydia Treatment?
Question: I tested positive for Chlamydia and was given single dosage of azithromycin on Thursday, May 15 2014 around 10:30pm. I had alcohol today May 18,2014; will this have any effect with the treatment or negate it?

Hi there.
To answer your question in a nut shell : NO alcohol will have no bearing either way on a single dose therapy with azithromycin.
However, for a chlamydial infection, I dare say, I would advocate a 3 week course of doxycycline hydrochloride 100mg taken twice a day over this period.
