Will Stopping Diazepam Increase The Chance Of Stroke?

Question: Hi, my wife believes that there is no danger in any event of a stroke that could occur , especially when she stops her medication of 5mg Diazepam tid. She has been on prescription approx. 30 yrs. Her bp is 150 ov 72. thanks

There is no relation between Diazepam with stroke or with risk of stroke . What makes you feel that Stroke can happen after stopping Diazepam ?
