Will Stopping Cigarette 5 Days Before Have Residual Nicotine In Blood Test?
Question: Will nicotine be present if I quit smoking cigarettes 5 days prior to the nicotine blood test, but I still smoke marijuana
Brief Answer:
nicotine might be detected
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Marijuana doesn't have nicotine, so smoking marijuana won't raise blood nicotine levels.
However leaving cigarette 5 days before might have residual nicotine in blood.
Nicotine elimination from body depends on various factors.
1.Number of cigarette smoked per day (represents a multiple dosing situation)
2. Age and general health.
3. Amount of nicotine in cigarette.
4. Sensitivity of the test.
Hence it cannot be said with certainty whether nicotine will be detected or not.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you

I smoked menthol cigarettes maybe 3 or 4 a day. Since Friday I have not had a cigarette I have been smoking marijuana but I have only been drinking water and orange juice (sunny delight). Do you think when I take the blood nicotine test that I will pass? I'm 26 yrs old on overweight but in good health. My doctor said I have to have a much lower score than 40 this time do you think I will?
Brief Answer:
condition is favorable
Detailed Answer:
Hello
You are young hence your body should respond better and faster in eliminating nicotine.
I think you would pass the test.
But avoid nicotine containing products totally till your test is done.
Thank you
