Brief Answer:
Raised ESR many possibilities, need specific work up to diagnose

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

ESR means erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Red blood cells pile up over the each other. Yes they rise in multiple myeloma as well as lupus. And not just these two almost every inflammation and infective process specially involving connective tissues. Anemia, cancer, thyroid disorders, pregnancy, autoimmune disorders, rheumatological problems, vasculitis , kidney disorders etc all lead to raised ESR>

Nutshell ESR is inconclusive and insignificant test and should not be sufficient alone to label a diagnosis. It always needs further evaluation and detailed work up along with clinical correlation to be sure of the diagnosis. Talk to your doctor and let them help you in this regard.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Brief Answer:
:)

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back

That surely is a good sign and indicates that inflammation is not enough to be worried about. However complete work up and proper consult with detailed clinical correlation is advised.

I hope it helps.
