Question: How accurate will a pregnancy blood test be 4.5 weeks after having intercourse? I have been testing at home a couple times per week and have gotten all negatives. So I went in for a lab test. It also came back negative....

Hi.
Thank you for the quick response. I have a follow up question... when I received the lab report, it stated that my hcg level was <1 on a scale of 0-5 being not pregnant. Why is there that large of interval and why wouldn't I have tested at 0 assuming I am not pregnant?

Hi dear, a little amount of hCG is always present in the body, so levels can be 0.
So , there is a range of 0-5.
Level of 0 is not usually found.
A level less than 5 is indicative of non pregnant state.
