1 Year Baby With Small Bald Spot On Top Of Head, Can It Be Cancer ?
doctor just said 1 year old baby has a bald spot on his head called an orange peel told he will have to have it removed - can have cancer cells growing -has to go to a dermatologist , told he has to be older to have it removed - what is the cause and how old does he have to be.

For any kind of a surgical scalp procedure, the child should be at least two years old so that all his fontanelles are apposed by that time. The site of the lesion is also a deciding factor in the time of surgery. You need to attend follow ups at your dermatologists office and ask him to do the procedure at the earliest opportunity.
