1 Year Child, Red Spots On Back, Fever Blisters, Ear Ache. Taking Amoxicillin. Advice?
Hi,my 1year old granddaughter has red spots on her back and down 1 leg that is not raised or blistered. On the other hand she woke up this morning and has a fever blister or what looks like one on her upper lip.She hasn't ran a fever but in the last week and 3days she had an ear ache fever and runny nose and she was on amoxicillin. She is not allergic to this medication.
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Febrile blisters are common during the epdoes of fever and usually recurrent. But what is concerning is rash over back. Viral illness usually presents with rash. Insects bites also to be ruled out. As the child is not allergic to amoxicillin, continue the medication and consult the pefiatrician for follow up examination to know the type of rash and its cause. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
