1 Year Old Child, Small Fluid-filled Red Bumps On Feet, Hands. Treatment?
Hi. My name is XXXXX and I m trying to figure out what is wrong with my son. He is 1 year old and just developed small red bumps on his feet hands and other places of his body. They are round and I can tell they have a liquid in them because they are raised. Can you help me figure out what I need to do to get rid of them.
It seems like an exanthematous rash which occurs commonly with viral flu. I do not know if he has fever too along with this.
In most infants and children the treatment is symptomatic. You can give him anti-syrup containing cetrizine for the lesions to subside. Also, apply calamine lotion to the affected areas topically.
If there is fever, also give him acetaminophen syrup.
