1 Yr 2 Month Old Having Severe Vomiting, Passing Smelly Diarrhea Stools. Drank ORS. Medication?

hi, my 1 year 2 month baby had severe vomiting in the night and was throwing up whatever spoons of ORS i gave also. woke up in the morning and passed smelly diarrhea stools. but he drank one bottle full of ORS. What dosage of metrogyl ped. suspension should i give him? or any other medicine you suggest. not able to travel, so may not be able to reach a doctor now...

Hi...

Thank u for choosing HCM..

If baby is dull,drowsy, dehydrated hospitalize the baby immediately..

There is no need for metrogyl..

I need to know the weight of the baby

Take following medication:

-ORS in small sips as frequently as possible..Continue even if baby vomits

-Syp. Septran 10mg/kg/day in 2 divided doses

-Syp. ZN-20 5ml(20mg) od for 14 days

-If vomiting is persisting you can give one dose of Ondem syrup (2mg)

-Probiotics like Sporolac sachet (1sachet mixed in boiled and cooled water given twice a day for 3days)

-Continue feeding..Do not stop feeding
