10 Year Girl, Sore On Upper Right Eye Lid. Applying Sudocream, Taking Nurofen. Cause Of Problem?

hello Doctor - my daughter 10yrs old has in the past two days developed a sore upper right eye lid. We've been into the chemist today and they reckon to simply try cold tea bags which has had no effect since. She has sudocreme on the area now and taken nurofen to ease the pain. what do you think may be the problem? its not red or swollen yet.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

I will suggest that you get your daughter's eyes examined by a doctor if not an ophthalmologist to know the cause of swelling of the eyelid. Unfortunately I cannot examine the child and hence am not in a position to guide you. Please do not use medicines prescribed by a chemist for the swelling.
