10 Year Old Having Pain In The Forehead And At The Back Of The Head After Swimming. No Injury. What Is Causing This?

My 10 year old son was swimming yesterday. He dove into the pool and swam the length of the pool underwater. He said that before he got to the other side, He felt like he couldn t hold his breath any more but he continued swimming underwater. When he came above water, he screamed that his head was hurting, on his forehead and the bottom of the back of his head. The pain went away overnight but when he was swimming the next day, his head hurt again. What is causing this?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Dear,
He might be getting hypoxic (low oxygen) during strenuous exertion of swimming.
some evaluation is required of your child.like
chest X ray to rule out any lung pathology/Cardiac size etc
Hb value
vitals like Blood pressure and Heart rate.monitoring
And if do not find any thing with these investigation then one should go for imaging of Brain.
Better you consult any pediatrician directly for all these.
Thanks
