10 Year Old, Sore Throat, Headache, Fever, Dizziness. Taken Ibuprofen. Signs Of Flu?
My son is 10 years old and complained of a sore throat early this am at 2:30, I gave him Tylenol. This afternoon he went to the school nurse because he didn't feel well, sore throat, feeling sick to stomach. I brought him home so he could rest. He has had some chicken soup and Gatorade. He now has a temp of 100.7 with mild sore throat, mild headache, dizziness apon rising, he's hot when lying down but gets the chills when sitting up. I have given him Ibprofen to bring down his temp and make him comfortable along with ice cold water. Do you think he may have signs of the flu?
Hi, It appears that he might be having viral infection. Give him symptomatic medicine for having fever, body ache. Within 2-3 days if there is no improvement then possibility of having bacterial infection is likely. Consult your doctor and get examined. if require he may go for antibiotic meidicine course. Give him plenty of water. Ok and take care.
