13 Weeks Pregnant. Chorioangioma Found In Ultrasound. Any Risk For Pregnancy? Will It Affect Baby?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and at 12 weeks they did an ultrasound and found a chorioangioma. my OB said its almost 2cm. they made me an appointment with a fetal maternal medicine specialist up in Tacoma but I cant get in to see them for 6 more weeks. I am so scared. I understand the risks for the pregnancy but what about after baby is born? are there any effects on the baby after birth?

Hi,
To understand the perinatal outcome the baby should be closely monitored throughout pregnancy. The most common complications that may occur during pregnancy are hydramnios and preterm labor. Pregnancy may be prolonged in select cases using amniodrainage to improve the perinatal outcome. Fetal hydrops has the risk of poor perinatal outcome. So, please follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you safe motherhood.
