General & Family Physician, Dr. P. Mahesh's Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. Since his symptoms are persisting, he will need a repeat course of antibiotics. Chest infection if left alone could be more dangerous than the risk of repeating a course of antibiotics if indicated. Your consulting doctor must have detected some chest findings on auscultation, warranting a repeat of antibiotic course. Don't worry. Ensure that the swimming pool is kept hygienically clean. Wishing your son all the best.
Hi well come to HC.
Yes you can continue with second bottle of clarithromycin if cough is persisting, if not treated an infection not cleared can at times to broncho pnemonia. Take care. Thanks
ANTIBIOTICS ALONE MAYNOT RID THE PROBLEM ,MUCOLYCIS SHOULD BE USED FOR EXCESS SPUTUM REMOVAL,THE SOUND YOU ARE EXPERINCING IS POSSIBLY CREPITUS ,SUGGESTING EXCESS SPUTUM.USE GRILLINCTUS PAED DROPS .
AVOID OVERDOSES OF ANTIBIOTICS .
