14 Weeks Pregnant, Having Bad Cough. Inhaled Bleach While Cleaning. Will I Be Okay?
Hi i am 14 weeks pregnant and is having a very bad cough. I was cleaning the bathroom and had inhaled bleach, i noticed my throat burns while i was eating cough drops and cleaning my tub. I had to get rid of it and took lots of water then milk. My throat is still raw and painful when i cough but is ok when i dont. I dont have any headaches or any other symptoms apart from the cough after inhaling bleach. Will i be okay? Or is this something that i needed a trip to ER.i am really concern. Pls help me. I will appreciate any answer from u.
Hi!
welcome to HCM!
Since you are not having any symptoms apart from raw throat that too while coughing it doesnot seem to be requiring emergency treatment.Keep taking milk and water you will be ok
however if you feel any difficulty in breathing you must get examined.
Bleach and other cleaning agents can harm an unborn baby. while you are pregnant limit your use of these chemicals and take protective measures when you use them.
If you do use chemical cleaning agents, wear rubber gloves and open the windows to ventilate the room.
hope this helps.take care!
