14 Year Old, Advised 25mcg Per Day. Is The Dosage Correct Given The High Level Of TSH And T4?

Dear Doctor, My son who is 14 yrs underwent a thyroid test last week. T3-1.69 ng/mL ; T4 9.71mg/mL ; TSH 11.12 mIU/mL. The local physician has prescribed 25mcg per day to be taken on empty stomach in the morning. Is the dosage correct given the high level of TSH and T4 ? Waiting eagerly for your advice. Dear concerned parent,
Before I can answer your question I need some more information from you -
1) Can you recheck the units of these values, as these are not the standard units used while reporting T3 & T4.
2) Can you provide the reference range given by the lab for these tests as the reference range varies slightly with each lab.
3) Are these values of total T3 & T4 or of free T3 & T4?
4) Most importantly, for what symptoms was this test done. Does your son have symptoms like unexplained weight gain, lethargy, poor appetite, excessive sleepiness, coarse skin, cold intolerance, constipation. What is his height?
