15 Year Old Having A Lump In The Groin Area. No Pain. Is It Due To Hormonal Changes?
Hello doctor! I am a 15 year old girl. I have had a small little ball in my pelvic/ groin region for a couple of months now. It remains really small unless I touch it. I think that it is because I am still growing and it might even be hormonal? I tend to touch it because I get scared but it doesn t hurt! Also, you cant see it in plain sight, you would have to touch to feel.
It seems like you are talking about the inguinal lymph node. It may be enlarged as a small little ball sometimes due to minor infection in late childhood and teenage years.
Please relax, do not worry about it. You do not need any medications for this now.
If the swelling continues to increase in size, you may consult your physician for a physical exam.
