16 Mnth Old Having Cough, Runny Nose, Smelling Sticky Poo Thrice Daily With Miserable Stomach Pain Just Before BM?
hi,my 16mnth old jst started daycare a mnth ago n since hez been having a runny nose and cough.but what worries me most is that he has sticky poo which smells really bad and goes mayb 3times a day smetimes its mushy and other days its watery mucous like.i did take him to a clinic n he was given amoxylin and cotrimoxazole it gt beta bt started again after the course finished.he seems fine and playful bt just b4 he poos he seems miserable like hes feeling pain in the stomach.hez been chewing on his fingers alot lately as well towards the back of his mouth,thought he is teething but its been weeks with the same problem.please help.

First of all : go for the blood and stool tests, this will find the reason. You may also go for an ultrasound of abdomen, particularly to rule out any internal focus like a large node or so.
Cefixine would work better in intestinal as well as ENT infections.
