16 Year Old Want To Increase The Weight. Feels Like Eating Chalk. Need To Get Rid Of This Habit

hello doctor my name is arshi I m 16 years old with 40kg weight do you think i am fit? Please give me suggetions how can i increase my weight?...Sir sometimes i feel like eating chalk etc. I know it effects my health please tell me how can i leave this horrible habit.??

Thank you for asking this question.
You told you have habit of eating chalk,this is a medical illness called 'PICA" and you are suffering from this type of abnormal appetite.This is due to inborn deficiency of iron ,calcium ,zinc and other essential mineral in the body.
You must get your CBC and Blood picture done.Also take a course of Deworming by taking albendazol. Followed by this you take Iron and zinc supplements.Take fruits and green vegetables.
And go for balanced diet.
With these steps you are going to improve.

Thanks for writing to us.
Your weight is on lower side.
Eating inedible things is known as pica.
I suggest you to get yourself evaluated by doctor as anemia and worm infestation needs to be evaluated.and managed accordingly.
Take nutritious diet rich in proteins,minerals and vitamins.
Do regular exercises
Avoid all kind of junk and fried food.
