Hello, cnpenney, Thanks for contacting HCM. Your son s symptoms are of definite concern. Eventhough colonoscopy was negative , he still could have Crohn s. If the endoscopist was really good in getting a good look at the last portion of the small bowel called Terminal Ileum , then at least that part is not affected. Your son should have a small bowel x-ray series or a Capsule Endoscopy if available near your area. You also mention enlarged lymph nodes and that may be secondary to Crohn s or he may have some other problem like Lymphoma or Hodgekin s because of his fever and weight loss. But according to your note, all the blood studies were nagative. I am not sure if that included IBD-Panel (ANCA or ASCA) .
