I recently have been getting really horrible headaches, nausea and was running a low grade fever. Then it spiked up to 103.5 and ended up in the emergency room. They ran multiple blood tests, cat scan of the abdomen and lungs because I was having flank pain and some abdominal pain--not bad. After being released without any clear diagnosis I developed a pulsating in my spine and ears. While in the hospital my blood pressure dropped to like 89/52 for a couple days and oxygen was 89ish. Any ideas?
With these symptoms of moderately high grade fever, severe recent onset headaches, feeling of nausea, without any yet confirmed cause for the symptoms, in my opinion contrast enhanced MRI scan of the brain should be done followed by CSF analysis if required. Meningitis, possibly viral, could be causing all these symptoms. It requires thorough neurological examination for proper diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
