2 Year Daughter, Red Spots On Legs With Circle Like Ring Around Them. What Could Be This?
My 2 year old daughter has between 15 and 20 little red spots on her legs, some look like hives and others don't, some have a white circle-like ring around them and others don't. She has one on her arm and one on her wrist as well. They don't seem to be itchy or irritating her at all. Her doctor isn't in the office until tomorrow and I'm just curious as to what they are. She's had no fever or anything today. I have pictures of them that I can send if that would help.

These symptoms are due to ring worm infections (fungal infection); You are advised the following • Broad spectrum Anthelmintics like Albendazole suspension three times in a day (teaspoon) • Take some antihistamine like Syrup Cetirizine (one teaspoon) BD • You can also apply cream/ointment containing Cotrimoxazole Kindly send me the picture and then I will guide you accordingly Hoping that you will get benefit from my advice. My prayers are with you. Thanks and best regards. Dr. IjazNasir Chest Specialist and Head of Chest Department Gulab Devi Chest Hospital Lahore
Hi, it appears to be the fungal infection called ring worm. It usually itches in adults, children some times may not have itching. I advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. He also needs supplimentation of vitamin A, and other vitamins for maintenance of the skin health. Thank you.
