2 Year Kid, Vomiting, Sluggish In Usual Activities. Taking Domstal. What Type Of Diet Will Help?

Hello Doctor,

My daughter 2 years 8 months old started vomiting since yesterday morning. She vomited four times Yesterday and only once today in the morning after waking up. Her appetite is normal, no stomach ache, no loose motion, no fever. She is appearing little sluggish in her usual activities though. We administered Domstal twice yesterday and once today. We are giving her liquid diet like diluted soup and electrolytes.
My questions are:
1.     What kind of diet is recommended for her?
2.     What shall be the next step for us?

I would just continue with a bland diet, mostly fluids, to keep her hydrated as it sounds like she might just have a little virus. If she fails to urinate at least twice daily then she needs to be seen by her doctor to check her for dehydration.

Welcome to Health Care Magic
Hope you are doing good. There are many causes of vomiting like
Gastroenteritis
Food allergies and irritations
The flu and other illness
Eating too much
Food poisoning
the answer about your diet is Hold off on solid foods until it’s been six hours since the last vomiting episode. Then try bland, easily digested foods like crackers, toast, or gelatin. Once those are tolerated, move slowly to cereals, rice, and then start salty or high-protein, high-carbohydrate foods, but avoid spicy or fatty foods.
Antihistamines can help prevent vomiting and nausea due to motion sickness, and antiemetic medicines may help relieve the nausea and vomiting sometimes caused by bacteria or stomach irritation. as you are using Domstal and its Domperidone is also better option. give it 3 times aday at least 15 minutes before feeding him. keep an eye on hydration as using electrolytes which is best option in restoration of electrolytes. Your kid vomiting will settle soon with proper Medication and care.
I Hope have answered your question.
Regards
