2 Year Old With High Fever. Stool Report Says Occasional Macrophages. Anything To Be Worried?

hi
My son is 2 years old and is having high fever. The doctor says that it could be due to viral infection. However we need to wait for 2-3 days to see if it persists. We also got a stool routine test done yesterday.all looks ok ,however,
for Macrophages the report says "occasional".

not too sure if this needs to be read in conjunction with high fever

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi dear,
Thanks for your query. As your doctor said, it looks like a viral infection. Most probably his fever will settle in two or three days. Macrophages in stool routine is a non specific finding. It doesn't have much relevance with this fever and you need not be worried about macrophages. Keep him hydrating with fluids and he will be alright soon.

Take care
