Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 22 month old son has a horrible diaper rash and his bowels are turning pretty liquidy. He feels warm and is in pain from the rash. I don't have him wearing a diaper but he is still in so much pain. My concern is I'm allergic to ibprofen and my husband is allergic tylonel. We haven't tested if he is allergic to either so what can I do for the pain!!! Do you think I need to take him in?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. For loose stools, oral probiotic and oral rehydration solutions to be given. Keep the nappy area dry. After cleaning the area, just gently tocuh with a soft cloth and allow it to get dried. You can apply some bland ointments containing zinc oxide. Consult the pediatrician for examination and for further advise for his loose stools and nappy rash. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
