23 Weeks Pregnant, No Bladder Control. Test Show Blood In Urine, Positive Swab Test. Any Ideas?
Hi I am a 32 year old female. I am 23 weeks 4 days pregnant. I am having issues with my bladder. I have absolutely no control. It has got worse over the last few days. I am puking up emerald green bile (im assuming) I went to my local labor an delivery. They tested me for amniotic fluid. The swab test showed positive but under the microscope it was negative. The dr is saying that I havw blood in my urine. An is treating me for an bladder infection. I had a still birth pregnancy 8 years ago she i suffered from limb body wall. This is my first pregnancy since that happened. An I generally just don't feel well. Could they have over looked something
Hi, In the current scenario, you should see an experienced specialist immediately for a complete evaluation and follow up. Urine infection should definitely be ruled out with a culture test rather than arbitrary treatment. You also need an ultrasound to detect anomalies in view of your past history. Also, watch should be kept over any possible amniotic fluid leak, albeit, in small volumes. Please take as much rest as possible preferably in left lateral position, have plenty of oral fluids and avoid stress of any form. Hope this helps.
