Once any part of brain is infarcted or damaged, it is permanent damage. The only therapy now is physiotherapy which will work to reduce weakness of limbs, rehabilitation also required. Give him full support. Medicines will be needed to prevent any seizures if he has.
hello, infarction of brain tissue causes irreparable damage. Depending on the area of the part involved and extent of damage it shows its impact on body functions and movements. In some cases though with time patient recover their body functions to some extent with proper care. But outlook remains grim. The only treatment which remain there on is physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Wish you son good health.
dear sir
The outlook for someone with lateral medullary syndrome or infarct depends upon the size and location of the area of the brain stem damaged by the stroke. Some individuals may see a decrease in their symptoms within weeks or months. Others may be left with significant neurological disabilities for years after the initial symptoms appeared.
so keep hope for better v r with u
