26 Weeks Pregnant, Severe Abdominal Pain, Becomes Sharp And Unbearable On Lying Down. Cure?
I m currently going on 26 weeks of my pregnancy. Around 11:45, I dealt with strong abdominal pain for about 20 mins and fell asleep while calming myself down. Woke up around 2:15A with the same pain. It s constant. Every now and then, it will become sharp and unbearable. I notice when I sit up that it s not as bad but when I lie down, it s the most uncomfortable thing in the world. This is my second pregnancy with my first born delivered at full term!
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum, Abdomen is an ocean, where so many systems like gastro intestinal tract, hepatic system, urinary tract etc, besides genital system. So the pain could be of any system, To get relief you should consult your gynaecologist to exclude any gynaecological reasons like ischemia of the foetus, placenta privia etc.
Other reasons being gastritis, peptic ulcer, gall stones, appendicitis, urinary tract infection. if your gynaecologist ruled out gynaec problem you can consult a physician for treatment.
Besides i advise you some diet recommendations as take more of bland foods, like curd rice, bread, biscuits etc. avoid taking more of spices, chillies, junk foods, and oily foods to minimise the irritation of the g.i tract.
I hope i have given you a satisfactory reply, wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
