But it is no controlled t hen after the doctor Prescribed Phenytal-30 for 4 years. it controlled for some times. When the doctor decreased the dose of medicine it repeated again. Now the doctor has advised to take Epilex Chrono 300. What should I do for his treatment? please give me good advice
Regarding epilex chrono (sodium valproate), it is a broad spectrum anti epileptic drug, which is safe and effective in epilepsy. For good efficacy, a proper dose should be used (15-60 mg per kg body weight per day). In addition, good drug compliance should be ensured (he should not miss any dose).
I am sure your son would do well.

Hi, Thank you for posting your query. Epilepsy is a chronic disease and requires long term treatment; in many cases, medicines are required for life long. Tegretol, phenytoin and epilex chrono are all good medications.
